Nocton Hall

Options Appraisal

Coat of Arms - Nocton Hall - South Wall

You can now find all the detailed documents relating to the Options Appraisal online here:
Options Appraisal for Nocton Hall

These documents contain a comprehensive analysis of all possible options for the building and pleasure grounds - these are well worth studying.

Finally, a request... I am trying to locate any photographs that were taken of the interior of Nocton Hall, as none seem to be publicly available sadly. If any of my readers have such in their possession and they would be willing to let me borrow these to scan and record for posterity, please will you get in touch. Thanks.

N.B. Of course, any future use of these would carry an acknowledgement to their source of origin.

  1. I was wondering if you had a contact name at the NKDC with regard to the Options Appraisal. Im interested in finding out more. I've been reading through and it's quite interesting stuff. £7m to totally restore the hall seems a little steep though. There must be funding to help with the cost of restoration eg. Lottery Heritage etc.? As the cost to any developer would be so high!!!
Great blog btw! :) please get back to me on Lhowardpask@mac.com

  2. Hi Luke, Thanks for your interest in this matter... and your kind words about the blog. As you can see the Nocton Hall issue is an ongoing saga and unlikely, in my opinion, to be settled any time soon. I will let you know the names of the contacts at NKDC under separate cover. Regards, Geoff
