The Beck

Shows what can be done when a community pulls together... 

1. Local residents mention that the Beck needs clearing
2. Parish Council instigate initial work with landowners... with the 'Community PayBack' team contacted to carry out follow-up work... but
3. The local community (Glen and Scott Studd) and our Village Keeper (Gary Allbones) get together to clear debris and tidy everything, before the Community PayBack team can even be mobilised.

A sterling effort with each group playing their part... and just look at the results. Thanks especially to Gary, Glenn and Scott who took the time out to finalise the job. Much appreciated guys.

    I'm sure some people will consider this as barbarism or a hatchet job but it was definitely required. Give it a season and it will show just how much better it all looks after a tidy up. I'm sure our resident ducks will appreciate it too!
