"If you are a Parent, Grandparent, Aunt, Uncle who has a 16/ 17 year old, or work with young people of that age then please read on.

The National Citizen Service  is a government initiative supporting young people to develop new skills and to make a difference.  It has been designed for 16 & 17 Year olds to give them a chance to stretch themselves , meet new people and get involved in social action.

This summer 300 young people have been working on the scheme in Lincolnshire and undertaking local social action volunteering  where they plan, design and implement their own projects with local support.  They also have a one week residential to build confidence and allow the teams to interact and develop friendships.

Find out more information at http://www.ncsem1.org.uk/

They are now recruiting for the Autumn so please help us to reach those young people who may be interested.

I have attached their most recent advertising poster for you as well.

There is a cost of £35 to take part but this can be funded on the young person's behalf if needed.

Thank you for your ongoing support."
