Message from Local Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator

Circulated 1st December: 'I thought that you should be aware of a couple of incidents that have occurred on Main Street Nocton over the last couple of evenings when attempts have been made to force entry into dwellings via patio and rear doors/windows.

It has been suggested that these incidents may be linked to those which have occurred in Metheringham recently when cash and jewellery were stolen.

Can I ask you to be vigilant and also, if you can spread the word around your neighbours to ensure that doors and windows are kept locked. If anyone has seen anything, the police want to know on 101.'

PCSO Report

Additional information taken from the verbal report to the Parish Council meeting last night.

It is thought that the properties are being targeted during early evening hours where no-one is at home. The master bedroom seems to be a focus of attention with the primary aim of stealing jewellery.

Recommendation is to consider placing cherished heirlooms in a safe deposit box, at very least not to retain valuable items of jewellery in the bedroom.

  1. Can I just say that I would say that lincs alert is an extremely helpful thing to have and I would recommend everyone to register and receive crime alerts for the local area.
