Your questions answered

Since the initial information sessions, which nearly 300 residents attended, we have been processing and considering the feedback received from the community. The technical, project-specific matters have been fed to our technical team to be considered and covered by our research and assessments of the site and area. More information will be available at the next round of events, which we expect to hold in June 2014. In the coming months we will also be providing a series of fact sheets to begin to answer some of the other issues raised by the community, beginning with some information about Vattenfall and Energy Policy in the UK.

Visit to Swinford Wind Farm

Arrangements are now well underway for a visit to Swinford Wind Farm in Leicestershire. The visit will take place on 17th May 2014. If you would like to attend please RSVP here.

Thanks to those of you who have already expressed your interest in the visit through your parish council, your names will be passed onto us so you need not complete the RSVP.

  1. Interesting that if you follow the link to sign up for the newsletter the villages of Branston, Southrey, Stixwould and Bucknall are also included. Certainly seems like Vattenfall are really pushing the boat out to gain support for the wind farm from villages further afield. It begs the question would these villages also stand to benefit from the Community fund?
So far as I am aware the forthcoming meetings in June are just for the villages that were consulted before towards the end of last year, but I could well be wrong.
Lets hear some comments from other locals, so that once again I'm not just a lone voice on this wind farm issue.
