Better broadband

New year, new roll-out

"A new phase of improvements will bring better broadband to hard-to-reach parts of the county.

Cllr Richard Davies, Lincolnshire County Council's executive member for IT, said: OnLincolnshire has been one of the most successful projects we've ever been involved in, and we want to build on that... We now have a further £8.8m to invest in additional work, helping us to bring faster speeds to the most rural areas of Lincolnshire. We're currently putting together a plan for how best to use this funding and hope to have details within the next few weeks. And we should have 'boots on the ground' - the actual start of the physical work - not long after that."

Given that Richard Davies announced in October 2015:

Broadband boost in the pipeline for Nocton
"We're hoping to have the work completed by the end of March next year. After that, all people will have to do is contact their internet service provider and upgrade to a superfast package."

... hopefully the village can look forward to an early scheduling of this work.
