Two air ambulances scrambled to scene of serious crash on main route into Lincoln

'The Sleaford Road route, which links villages the villages of Metheringham, Dunston, Nocton, Potterhanworth, Branston, Heighington, and Washingborough with Lincoln, has been closed between Methering and Dunston while emergency services attend the scene.'

Elderly woman dies following serious crash south of Lincoln

'The woman, who is aged 77 and from the east of Lincolnshire, was travelling as a passenger in a grey Lexus car at the time.'

'Please make our road safer NOW' urges campaigner after fatal crash near Lincoln

John Siddle of the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, said in the last five years there have been 10 slight injuries from crashes on the road, and one fatal, not including the incident today. "None of them are speed related, they are loss of control, junctions, failing to look, failing to see, that sort of thing," he said about the figures.
