American tourists could pour into Lincolnshire to honour US air force's role in war

RAF Metheringham helped repatriate thousands of wounded American personnel from Nocton Hall hospital near Lincoln.

A Lincolnshire casualty of Cambrai was Leslie Halkes Wray, born in Metheringham on February 27, 1898, but spent most of his childhood in Nocton, who was killed in action on November 20, 1917.
