Nocton Hall - tree down

Storm Doris

For those who tend to wander the Nocton Hall woodland, you will find that one of the old faithfuls has been brought crashing down. The 'Boris tree', so named because of the multitude of carved letterings on its trunk, has been flattened in the gales.

You can see from the following photographs, it now blocks what was the main carriageway entrance leading up to Nocton Hall from the Old Sleaford Rd, just inside the woodland near Bottom Lodge

A sad end for a once proud tree.

Did you leave your initials here by any chance?
